    650 Ti Boost SLI

Just when I thought the 650Ti Boost was another "decent" mid range card, I came about this test, which shows in SLI it's a BEAST

Any reason why I shouldn't sell my motherboard and 670 FTW, and get two of those cards?

Because 660 SLI is better and only £10 extra.

    Re: 650 Ti Boost SLI

Am I missing something here? All the reviews until this one suggest that the 650 Ti Boost is slower than the ATi 7850, but more expensive.

How come then, that this Tech PowerUp review has it number 1 in their bang-for-buck analysis at everything?

    I smell something piscean

It isn't more expensive, although not by much. I think the big difference is that US prices are different to UK prices.

Value for money is always determined by what is available in your country at the time you want to buy.

Reckon it's actually worth it? I'd have to get rid of my 670 and motherboard too.

I would just stick with the 670 for now, its a beast of a card and you have to think about sli scaling when it comes to new games.

    Re: 650 Ti Boost SLI

FWIW, having tried SLI , all I found was it was noisy and on balance not worth it. Due to the cards being in close proximity, the fans ran faster to exhaust the heat and thus the noise got too high. YMMV of course but I would be somewhat surprised if I ever CF/SLI'd again ... buy (or in your case, keep) the bigger single card. Flog the 670 and go 680 if you need more.

Actually , I take it back .. yes yes sell at a silly price .. I need to build another machine

Don't sell your 670, but if you were buying from new I would get the SLI.

Yeah it's why I wonder how quad sli systems don't overheat!
