    XFX or PNY

About to order a 6800 GT i have to decide between an XFX GT or a PNY GT.
Is there any general preference between these two makes?
Any experiance or information on what to go for would help.

    Thanks
    Eddie

aint heard owt bad about the PNY but i have heard a few horror stories about the XFX but i am sure the XFX give you a 3 year cover. I might be wrong and it could be the other way round.

I went PNY, as i'd had a Geforce 4 Ti4600 from them which was cheap and worked perfectly for years. Their 6800GT is real sweet; mine seems to overclock well and I've had zero problems with it.

I got the PNY and it came with Far Cry.
Look in the bargain hunt section and you can get it for 25% off at PC world (just in case you hadn't noticed).
Better be quick tho as its too good to last.

I think the PNY's come with a lifetime warranty too.

**Edit ** Its 1 year unless you register on their website then you get the extra 2 years making 3 in total. Lifetime mean lifetime while the card is in production. So when they stop making in 6 - 12months time it will run out anyway.

I've just gone for a PNY 6800GT. Doom 3 isnt that good and only sells for about £17-£25 second hand these days (£10.99 on ebay) and the lifetime guarantee is worth having, maybe not now but when u come to sell it in a year or two's time.

Just gone for the 6800 Ultra BFG after much consideration. It also comes with a lifetime guarantee. It's a steal for £290 imo
