Im still waiting for my MSI TF3 7970, although I have been tempted to change for a HIS IceQ 7950 or MSI TF3 7950, but Ive actually decided to stay with the 7970

I'm running the IceQ X2 7970s - best heatsink design of the lot bar none. Soo quiet.

    Re: 7950 vs 7970

I would go for a Gigabyte Windforce 7950. The 7950 is the best value in my opinion, I saw the Gigabyte 7950 for below £200 pound on Scan the other day but is gone now. Keep an eye out for a deal or wait until the new cards come out and get a 7950 or 7970 for a ridiculously low price.

    Re: 7950 vs 7970

I wouldn't go Gigabyte, the heatsink design blows warm air directly onto the motherboard (instead of out the front and back of the card) and the ram and VRM's are not actively cooled (passive heatsinks seperare from the main one) and the fans are a bit squeely.

That's my 2p but saying that loads of people swear by them and I suppose for £180 you can't really grumble at anything cheaper than the reference cards.
