MSI GeForce GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming (Or Something)
I'm seriously considering getting this card but I need to know whether my Core i3-2120 will bottleneck it?
I currently have an EVGA GeForce GT 630 so even if the GTX 760 is bottlenecked it will still be a big improvement over the 630, I plan on getting a better CPU at some point but I'd rather put the money into a decent GPU first.
Re: MSI GeForce GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming (Or Something)
The 760 is pretty much as powerful as a 670. I'd say a i3 would probably bottleneck it.
Re: MSI GeForce GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming (Or Something)
"bottleneck" is a funny old word, tbh. Your system will always be "bottlenecked" by something, as there'll always be a component that is slowest. The real question is whether it'll make a difference to your experience.
Now, assuming you're looking at getting this card to replace your GT 630, then you're not going to notice the i3 slowing you down because the improvement in graphics is going to blow you away: it's on a completely different level.
Sure, the GTX760 and a faster processor will give you measurably more performance, but the difference going from the i3 + GTX760 to, say, an i5 + GTX760 is going to be far smaller than the difference between going from an i3 + GT630 to an i3 + GTX760.
tl;dr? Get the card, it'll change your life :D

I bought this card recently and it certainly changed mine :P
Upgrading from a 550Ti. The performance is ample for any modern games. Not particularly power consuming in comparison to comparable cards.
But the main difference for me was the silence in my pc case...
even at full pelt the card makes less noise than any other fan in my pc.

you will a big improvement in gaming with this card

Hi, I think you should just get a 7950. The performance is better in most games and can be got currently for the same price and usually cheaper. Stay away from the xfx 7950 because they have cooler issues. A performance comparison can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmGWyAyO9mc and this is the 7950 I would recommend http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-795...&keywords=7950

760 is pretty solid, it will remain cool due to the Twin Frozr IV Cooler on the heatsink, you're pretty much sorted out already. Get the 760. If you want to wait, NVIDIA MIGHT make a 760Ti and maybe also a 760Ti Boost.

i say wait til they release 760 ti
