Unhappy My gfx card blowed up :(

Yep, my 9800 Pro blew up last week. So i figure i may aswell get an X800 XT. Thing is, i looked on OcUk and they only have PCI-E. I emailed them asking when they'd be getting the X800 XT PE in AGP format, they said another 4 - 6 weeks. Is there anyone who's selling them or are they just not out yet?

Another vote for 6800 ultra, respect to ATI but the 6800 ultra is a fine card for the cash.

Well, i wanna get an ATI. I realise the Nvidia may be better, but i despise Nvidia. Their drivers are always crap and the quality isn't as good as ATI. So i guess ill look on Ebuyer, thanx guys

Well, i recently installed a cooling duct from the front of my case to my cpu and i think the duct was blocking the air getting to the card. So when i get my X800, that duct is a goner!

I find both ATI and Nvidia now have excellent drivers with their own little problems, however that new front end for the ATI's is bloaty as hell.

6800 quality is the best in the industry ! I know the 5 series were rubbish image wise but not the 6800, speaking 4rm experience ! '

Yes it is mate. x800's are just 9800's on steroids. 6800 is a new core with sm 3 remember, so some games who use that would run much much faster if the use sm3. And the 6800 would be further enhanced by the new drivers and optimisation. Although x800 might beat nvidia now but later due to several optimisation nvidia will lead.

    we'll see

SM3.0 is balls imo anyway (for a while anywayz)

I've tried both BFG 6800U OC, and Sapphire X800XTPE, X800 looks nicer plus i just prefered it alround tbh, not saying the 6800 are no good, cos they are also very nice cards (as everyone has already established)
