    ATI 7970M & Doom 3

    Hey all,

I'm having a bit of bother with the combo in the title. I've told the machine to use the dedicated card (it has switchable gfx) for the doom 3 application and it seems to run fine on the menus etc, however when I get in game, it's like its dropped back to the integrated card. FPS drops through the floor.

My conjecture is that because its the BFG edition the 'menu' is what is being accelerated but once I pick the game itself, it's falling back to the onboard crappy stuff.

Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this? I seem unable to kill the integrated gfx in the bios and disabling at device manage seems to upset the 7970 too

/shrug. Driver issue it seems. New drivers brought other quirks but at least it works
