Do you already have the mobo & cpu, and if so why have you chosen those? Is this computer intended to have another primary purpose with gaming as a secondary, or are you building it specifically for gaming? What games do you want to play/what monitor do you have?
At £100 I'd normally just say Radeon 7790, but your choice of CPU/Mobo don't really make sense with a budget GPU for gaming....
Hi,thanks for the replys reason door the hardware is that it has been given to me as a gift, no longer required by previous owner.lucky me. Problem is that it has a zoo storm Titan 650w PSU (no dedicated gpu rail) and the current system has crap ram, crap case and a gs8400 gpu!
I am thinking about getting the Coolermaster silencio, Coolermaster all in one water cooler ( I get a good deal on Coolermaster stuff!) and a gpu that will allow me to game for at least a year. Stuff like fps, bf3.
Thanks again for your help, I have not bought a graphics card for a long time!

If that is the case then I would seriously consider upgrading the components that you can later carry forward to a newer build, which in this case would be the PSU and GPU (in that order) and don't skimp on the PSU, but luckily for you, you can get a CoolerMaster PSU, but check reviews before you buy.
Ok I have doubled the budget! 200 quid. I'm thinking 7950 or 760 or the 670.... any thoughts or alternatives? £200 price range

You won't get a 7950 and a capable psu for that money. I'd be very tempted to wait 2 weeks. Nvidia have just announced 2 revamped parts and amd are realising a whole new architecture. Prices will be all over the place after that
By no dedicated GPU rail; you mean it does not have a 6/8 cable?
don't worry about that I will be upgrading that also![]()

If the GPU budget is around £200,an HD7970 can be had:

A 550W PSU should be enough I suspect.
Wow that's a great price. I like the MSI ones! they have a funky name and look good![]()

Is it worth waiting for the next round of cards form AMD? They're next week AFAIK.
Yes I think so, I have ordered my case and that will be a week or so, do you have a link to the new cards?

for £200 get the hd7950, or if you can stretch the budget-go for a r9 280x
Is this £200 purely for the gpu or other stuff as well like psu hdd ram case etc?
I take it its purely for the gpu so I'd recommend either a 7870 or 660 which are both under £140 leaving you extra to spend elsewhere as in 1080p these gpus will handle most stuff on med-max.
