Overclocking HIS Radeon HD 6750 1GB DDR3
I've been trying to get a nice stable overclock from my HIS Radeon HD 6750 off and on for about 8 months now. I don't have too much time to spend a couple days watching stress tests etc.
The problems I've been having are that the fan speed is locked at around 40%, and it doesn't seem to speed up when the GPU is under load either. Also, the VCORE voltage is locked at 1.1vdc, so again a stable overclock is a little hard to find.
Does anyone out there either have experience overclocking an HIS 6750, or any tips for me in my overclocking adventures?

Give it up as a bad job. In the time you've wasted on it you could probably have bought a new card with most people's valuation of how much time is worth to them.

Theres that, but also what are you using to overclock? Is it reporting the fan stuck at 40%? It might just be a crap fan. Overclocking a GPU should be the work of minutes, certainly not more than an hour.

It has been confirmed that HIS locked the fan speed on their 6750. However I guess that could be the fan itself, an aftermarket cooler might be faster. I'm not going to spend the money on it right now though, I'm saving for an i5 2500k and a GTX 650/660.
I'm using MSI Afterburner to overclock, and I'm using Kombustor/3Dmark to stress test. Unigine Heaven for benchmarking.
