Anyone got any ideas? This is for a friend of mine ... I would've first said save a bit of money and get a 9800 Pro, but then I got to thinking ... could you pick up a low-end 6800 or X800 for much better performance?

I think dabs were doing vanilla 6800's for about £190 - might even mod to 16 pipes as well.
Dabs are doing their own, AOpen's and Asus' vanilla 6800s for £186, £189 and £195 respectively.
Aopen are the only ones in stock atm, but the others are "on order."Quote:
