    Leadtek GeForce FX5900 XT 128MB DDR 2.8ns 256Bit 8xAGP

Its slightly over your budget (£132) but worth it imo - shame their 9800's are £150, and they don't seem to do 6800le's.

The SE part means its slower than both the normal 9800 and the Pro version, although, being an AIW version, it does have some other stuff in it. For that amount of money, a 9800 Pro is probably the best, although the new 6600GTs should retail at around the same price (I think!) when they are released on AGP, and they tend to beat the 9800s on all but the highest resolution tests, so it may be worth waiting a month or two for the 6600GTs.

There is, of course, the possibility that this will softmod to a 9800 Pro (XT) without any problems.

So, you've got to ask yourself one question: do i feel lucky? Well do ya punk?

get a 9800 something...avoid the 9600 like the plague. buying a mid range card now would be a huge waste of money, just like buying a GF4MX a year ago was =0

    I have a 9600XT, canny little card.

Runs doom 3, far cry amd dawn of war no probs at decent res and quality.

I can play desert combat with it at 1600 x 1200 with max detail and full view distance and it runs at a cracking pace.

IMO the 9600 was a miles better mid range card than any of the mid range FX's with the possible exception of the 5700 whitch is roughly on par.

Bobby, have no fear, the card is not rubbish, in fact, it's pretty good for it's price! I had mine for about 6 months and it got me through many games, including FarCry and Warhammer 40,000 fine.
