Radeon 9700 Pro Upgrade for £30!

Hey guys, could use some good advice here.
Ive got a chance to upgrade my 9700 pro now, to either:
    >Geforce FX 5900XT
    >Geforce FX 5900

Anyway what im looking to know is if these cards can give me more frames in my games?
My 9700 Pro is a few years old so im guessing these high nvidia offerings although not quite up there wth the 9800 XT, would give better performance, or another idea of mine was to overclock the life out of a 5900 XT,as i hear they can reach over ultra speeds.

Some advice here would really be appreciated, a 5900XT seems in theory an upgrade rather than a downgrade, considering the age of my card, but you tell me...

I would stick with your Rad 9700pro m8.The GF5's are cack.Even the ultra's.They lost the plot after gf4ti's.THey have redeemed themselves with the 6800 tho.If you HAVE to upgrade then it would HAVE to be to either a 6800 or a x800 not a fx5900.

That's unfortunate, i thouhgt the 5900 would pull me forward.
A 9800 pro wouldn't be worth the upgrade either would it?
I guess i could always spend £80 on a tv or something (with added extra of course, whoeever thought u could get a good tv for £80 retail!)

It wouldnt be a noticeable difference im afraid, same applies to the 9800pro upgrade which is in effect the same card as a 9700pro but faster.

Stick with the 9700 Pro, it should be able to run the latest games for a while yet. Just stick the money in the bank
