    Question What GPU to get?

Jut sold my 7850 because it wouldn't work with Mac OSx and I couldn't be bothered to keep changing the settings in the BIOS every time I wanted to switch to windows. Got 75 GBP for it.

I'm looking for an NVIDIA card, at least a 650 Ti Boost. But could go up to a 760.

    My specs:

    i3 3220
    H77 Pro4-M
    450W Antec VP-450P

At the moment, the Boost would be quick enough, but for the future I'm thinking I'm going to want something a little more powerful, for example a 660 or maybe a 760.

    Thoughts?

go on the video card benchmark chart website, top to mid range. you will see your desired card and its capability against similar level cards with a nice price avg also

I don't use that site because it uses application benchmarks generally - not something I'd be buying it for.

I'd say GTX 660 if you can find a good deal on one. You might even be able to find a stray GTX 670 which will beat a 760 w/ a gentle overclock and should be cheaper than a 760.

Really good idea with the GTX 670, thats a powerful card that runs well in OSX and a lot of people seem to be selling them now so second-hand prices can be pretty attractive.

    Re: What GPU to get?

Thats strange since you can get HD7950 for the previous Mac Pro which is still available:

The new Mac Pro also uses GCN based cards.
