    GTX780TI benchmarks leaked

Faster than a R9 290X but with greater power consumption:

And again hence why there were 'leaks' of the 290X 4k performance - the 780ti looks like it hits a barrier there.

It will be interesting to see how the non-reference R9 290X cards perform in comparison,as the standard R9 290X does not always boost very highly.

Ah, the spinning on that might be interesting to watch on certain forums...

    "Power consumptions, bla bla"
    "Only performance matters"
"What's a few watts if the performance is there"
    etc.

    I'm expecting a few 180°s there.

Those are some pretty hard to read graphs, would like to see the source numbers. Makes it look as if the 780ti is ~30% faster than the 780 at some resolutions.

    Re: GTX780TI benchmarks leaked

Looks like the card will be great up until 1600p. Anything higher and it's roughly in the same performance area as the 290x, which will be priced much cheaper.

It seems Gibbo over on OcUK confirmed it will have 3GB of VRAM.

Ain't that the truth. I'm sure it'll be a great card which will edge out the 290X in terms of performance, but I'm equally sure it'll come at a price I'm far from willing to pay. Looking forward to the reviews though.

    Re: GTX780TI benchmarks leaked

Any leak on price ? I assume it will be more than the 780... means Nvidia has just lost the high end market as this was looking to be their 'ace' but if thats the real performance its not much on the 290x which might be much cheaper and the custom coolers will work wonders on those AMD cards, wish I had the money to burn as I would love to put this under water in my system! Loved the argument on power draw and I must admit I would consider skipping this generation purely for the power consumption but I dont think AMD did wrong by going all out, its not that much more in terms of cost really and it seems that Nvidia has pulled the same trick and executed it poorly, atleast AMD has plenty of room for partners to slap their amazing coolers on it and have the card scream of power while being quiet where as Nvidia have already reached their peak on the speeds.

Cant wait for next year, going to be even better and just think Mantle has secured this generation or atleast in theory... will see in December with Bf4 how much of a difference it makes.

    Re: GTX780TI benchmarks leaked

The graphs are a little bit hard to understand, but personally, I do not care the power assumption if the performance is improved. Power is not a big problem now.

Seems to be about the same as a 7990... which is also currently significantly cheaper.

    Re: GTX780TI benchmarks leaked

    http://videocardz.com/47576/nvidia-g...specifications

NVIDIA equipped its GTX 780 Ti with a new feature called Power Balancing. Without this feature power drawn from: 6-pin power connector, 8-pin power connector and PCI Express interface would be balanced across these three sources respectively depending on the current load. However if user overclocks the card power delivery becomes unbalanced, thus card draws more power from one source than the others. To fix this problem NVIDIA came up with an idea of Power Balancing. You probably see where this is going. With this feature enabled GPU can steer the power from one input to another. This will improve overclocking capabilities in comparison to GTX 780 or the TITAN.

    More GTX780TI details:

Power consumption and noise is comparable to the R9 290X.
