Connecting GTX 670 to PSU.
I'm looking to connect my new gtx 670 to my power supply which is a Corsair HX850 Gold Power Supply, the card came with 2 sets of short 4pin Molex to PCIe connectors, I cant see where the molex connectors would fit in on the psu and all the cables that came with the psu are at home. What cables would I need to buy to be able to connect the card to my psu?
Thanks.
Re: Connecting GTX 670 to PSU.
You don't connect the molex connectors to the PSU.
You need (only) the modular PCI-E cables. One end is the modular design that connects to the PSU, the other is the PCI-E connector.
The molex-PCI-E adaptor is only for PSUs that don't have any PCI-E connectors. If you've lost yours, you'll have to use your PSU to Molex modular cable, then the Molex-PCI-E adaptor.
Re: Connecting GTX 670 to PSU.
Yeah that's what I thought, all my PSU cables are at home and if I get them sent up It'll take forever and probably cost about the same as getting some new ones. What do you think I should be looking at buying? This is the back of the power supply http://cdn.pcper.com/files/imagecach...1/3a-HX850.jpg The 670 has 2 6pin connector slots on it.
Thanks

The corsair modular 6+2 pin PCI-E cables. They go into the slots marked 6+2 pin PCI-E. Pop a post in the corsair PSU forums above these ones and they'll help you get hold of some.
