    Need a new Gcard, Nvidia?

    HI, i need another graphics card

    its for a pc i built a while ago, which used to have a sapphire 9600pro in i, untill i nicked it for this PC

    so im need a replacment, prefrably a Nivida card (cos the ati drivers are lame)

    the rough specs of the pc are:
    - athlon 2600+ (at about 2Ghz)
    - 2*256mhz Twinmoss (w/winbond's)
    - Epox 8rda+
    (which is iN my sig actually)

    and im looking to spend under £80 if possable, thanks guys

    For £80 you can get yourself a 9700pro. Or you can get a geforce 5700.

    Really, the 9700 will blow the 5700 out of the water.

    yeah, i though that might be what i would end up with

    also, if i wanted to be able to spread an overlay arross twin moniters (ie strech a DVD accross both my screens) - what would i be looking at for that?

    ok, so if i got one of those (an ATi 128mb fireGL) that would defonatly spread DVDs acrross a twin display, even though there diffrent sized screens, and at diffren reselutions

    - and would it play games as well as a 9600pro?

    It wouldn't play games as well as a 9600 pro it will perform poorly in games in fact. BHut it would be great for your other jobs. That you have to do. Maybe if you could spread your budget to around £115 then you can pick up a 9800 pro which is worlds beter than a 9600 pro.
