Re-TEK UK LTD (Refurbished Graphics Cards)

    Re-Tek UK Ltd
I am thinking of buying the ATI Radeon 9700 PRO 128MB Refurbished from this company.
Its got no drivers or software.
Will In need any cables to attach it to my SN95G5 Shuttle.
It will cost me 65st or 112.51euro.
    Seems a good deal.
Anyone have any experience in buying from this company.

Many thanks to user of this site for Link.

    Billy.

I've bought about 6 cards from them - deals ranged from great (unbadged 9500 that was a real, not a modded, 9700 pro) to a couple of cards that were more or less doa. The dead cards were replaced with little fuss, although I paid for postage back. You always get friendly help from the girl that deals with the telephone enqs, Carol I think she's called

Retek are a good company, I get the impression that they would have good customer service and sort out any problems quickly.

However the nature of the products they sell, being refurbished, means there will be a much higher chance than normal of a bad product. I have 3 9500np's from them with no problems, one is now dead, but that was my own fault.

Bought a 9700 pro for £160 from them about this time last year. Tis going strong oc'd at 360/330. No problems. My bro is thinking of getting a 9700 pro from them too. At the time of my purchase, I spoke to them direct and ordered it over the phone.

Scotish bloke on the other end was very helpful and seemed down to earth. My advice would be to get it and put it through a bit of stress running a benchmark on loop or something for 24hrs, so if it does die you can use the 30 day guarantee. If it gets through that then you shouldn't have any problems. Good luck.

I have one of their 9700pros I bought recently.

The GPU was covered in lashings of what appeared to be Arctic Silver, which probably wasn't original. This suggests the card had an overheating problem and refurbishment involved reseating the HSF. My waterblock will keep it cool wthout difficulty. Excellent service!

Another happy customer here. I bought a couple of 9500s from their ebay site, both arrived quickly, and well packed etc.
