    19Inch 12ms LCD?

    Hey all,

Im looking for a LCD Monitor that is 19-Inch and has 12ms. It will be mainly used for Games and Video Editing. So hopefully with DVI, instead of VGA.

    Thanks

    James

Think there are only a few models in the 12ms 19" range with DVI, there is:
Viewsonic VX912 - £380 (which is out in a few weeks)
    Sony SDM-HSP94 - £500
    BenQ FP937S - £370
and the LG 1915S - £300 (but no DVI)

also look at the 16ms models as you will not notice much difference between 16 and 12ms

    some 16ms models:
    Viewsonic VX910 - £358
    AG Neovo F419 - £330
    Sharp LL191AB - £305 (no DVI)

    (all prices are approximate)

some good info and comments on 19" TFTs here:
    http://baddass.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/tft19.htm

I would suggest you look around and maybe wait until a few more 12ms screens come out, as that is what i am doing.
But it looks like i will probably go for the Viewsonic VX912 in a couple of months as it seems the best value for money and also looks nice!

My 20ms Samsung 193P is great for editing related purposes due to great colour reproduction, and is absolutely fine in all games. Worth considering methinks.

You sure its good in games? Especially in fast moving action scenes? Some people have said it ghosts slightly, but then i guess it depends what game it is and how hard you are looking!
What is it like for viewing dvd movies?

I really like the look of the 193p it's just the fact of the 20ms (seems old now) is putting me off, and the higher than average price.

It's really auful that you can't just walk into a shop and test them out!
Well actually I had a look in Comet today and the only one that grabbed my eye was the new Sony SDM-HS94P, absoloutely stunning - but was £550 (£500 from dabs- but still too much)

Funnily enough, I've been thinking about this exact same issue recently. I think I'll end up going for the Viewsonic VX912B once they are available, especially seeing as the VX910s seem to have disappeared off the face of the Earth.

Nah the looks outweight the "supposed" poor specs mate. CS:S and ut2k4 have been fine for me, and they're fast paced. Just make sure to use a natively DVI graphics card and she's great.
