I'd personally go with whatever you can reasonably afford - from what I've seen, the 6800GT seems to be worth the money over the bog standard 6800, but the 6800 can still make your system fly!

I think now I'll be getting the 6800, but if you see my last post, I'm not sure on the difference between the two that me and skuzgib found.

It just seems that the XFX has a few free games, whereas the other is OEM i.e. basically just the card. Performance wise, they should be virtually no performance difference.

OK, if it's just the games, and OEM, which I think means there's no disk included, I'll get the ebuyer one.

Hang on, I could be wrong, but is the "cheap as chips" one 16 pipe, and the ebuyer only 12? Will that make a big difference?

Also, if it's OEM, it won't get drivers will it, so I could get them off the net couldn't I?

No they are both 12 pipe, though you may be able to unlock the other four and a vertex shader in rivatuner!
OEM cards usually contain card, cables, and maybe a disc; but its best to get the latest ones off the web anyway.

    Same dilema for me.

I have it down to the Evesham 6800 at Lowestonweb (£170) and the BFG 6800GT at PCWorld Components centre (£258). I have the money but have no wish to waste it. I'm not going to OC unless it is real easy play the latest games so ATM I am leaning toward the BFG.

2 problems however - 1) Both out of stock 2) Both companies only deliver to cardholder address (no good for me as I work for a living).

Well, I think I've decided I'll be ggetting the 6800 from ebuyer (quick find 62623) assuming is comes back into stock. I'm pretty sure the one from lowest on the web and that one is the same, just you get 3 games on the ebuyer one.

Does anyone know what these three games are? Would they just be some cheapo ones that aren't any good, or will they be decent? I tried e-noting ebuyer, but they said they couldn't give advise on their products or something.

    EDIT1
Nevermind, I think the 3 games are X2 The Threat, Comandos 3 and MotoGP 2. Are these worth it?

    EDIT 2
I've read a review on each of those games, and to be honest, I don't think they're very good, so I might as well save that extra 20 quid and go for the one on lowestonweb.

The difference between buying the 6800 and the 6800GT is that you won't regret buying the 6800GT. That's where the money should go.

Yeah, but I've looked at the prices now, and I don't think I can justify spending that much on a graphics card. I'd really not want to go above £200 at the very max.

For the money that is a superb card. Deffo best saving £20 than having games you have no intention of playing. I note some of those XFX cards come with DOOM 3 which might be a better propostion but no doubt not that cheap.
