Resolution effects?
I was just wondering will there be a diffrence if I played a game at 800X600 rather than say 1024x768, or 1280x1024 ?? I usually play a game at 800x600 will i be missing anything if i played it at diffrent resolution and which one is the best resolution to play in. As i said i play at 800x600 and find it annonying to change the angles and width to make the display fit the screen when i change resolutions,so what's the best resolution for playing games ??

The higher resolution you play at, the sharper the image becomes. Having a higher resolution is good for the quality of the graphics, but makes your computer do more work, so you may not be able to run at higher resolutions. Of course, going to too high a resolution may make the screen too small, and there are limits to what each monitor can support.

Most mid range graphics cards can handle 1280x1024 with no Anti-Aliasing. The higher the resolution the lower your frame rate becomes but the less jaggies you have, just like what mike said. What is your graphics card? and processor and how much memory you got?
