ok, with my card coming this tuesday I am wondering if I should update its bios? If it wasnt a new chip I wouldnt bother but its only been around for a short time and I'm shure they are making improvments... right?

benchmark it first.... if you get any freezing for a few secs or complete freezing then a restart check that you have fast writes disabled and both 2d/3d clock speeds are the same
benchmark again and see if any freezing occurs, if so then see what bios version you have if its "5.40.02.10.14" then that is the faulty bios that manufactours shipped cards out with, but as far as i am aware, BFG didnt even use that bios, do you should be fine myth ! enjoy ^^

with my 6800 ultra that I got in July, because it was an early 6800 ultra the clocks on 2d are 25 mhz lower than the 3d clocks which causes instability. Now every time I put on a new driver set I have to overclock the the 2d clocks to the same as the 3d clocks to gain stability. I have thought about flashing its bios with an edited version of the one it has now to make sure it always bots with 425 2d and 3d
