    Nice quiet GFX

Im looking for a >£200 gfx thats nice and quiet ( 25db or less ) that can fit in a shuttle ( single slot ), it cannot be modded i.e. change the fans over to make it quiter either.

    Many thanks

most stock coolers of those cards are not quiet... probably you'll find your self getting a silent hsf or modding something

Depends which Shuttle you have, but there is a thread over at Sudhian about the Gigabyte passively cooled 6800. No noise. Suprisingly, there dont even seem to be major heat issues with using it in a SFF. I think the case was a SN45G2, so not sure how it applies to the other models.

Not the fastest card out of the box, but pretty reasonable. There are a number of comments re succesful use of the locked shaders using Rivatuner which boosts speed significantly, but you might not be interested in that, even though its only software modding.

The shuttle is a SN85G4V2. The Gigabyte sadly takes over my soundcard slot so it's not really a option.
