X800XT-power cable not in box! Help me!

Hi,

I have a connect3d X800 card, the instructions card says that a power cable should have been shipped with it, but it is missing. The diagram is very misleading - I cannot tell which socket the cable goes in, what it should look like, or where to get a spare......can anyone help me????

There isn't a standard Molex connection on the card, I think the strongest possibility is a six pin (2x3) socket on the card. The documentation says that it is a hard drive connector, but my SATA HDDs have the flat type connectors as provided by the PSU.


For some reason your link did not work, so I appologise if I have missed something. I should point out that the card is PCI-E.

Thanks for your help Dan. Just been down to Maplin to find a cable, and drew a blank. However, I have found this:

I wouldn't start sodlering an x800 over a 2p missing cable.

You don't solder the X800, your just making a cable to convert from molex to the PCI-E power plug.
