get an ati card if u want good dx9 performace. current nvidia cards/drivers are about half as fast at it (they are *slightly* faster in dx8 stuff) u can afford 9700pro/9800np with that. if u want to clock get an unlocked one - sapphire are only unlocked ones i know of, or cheapest if u dont.
95/700xx are not being made/sold any more in uk, the only place i know u can get them is second hand or a brand called grandmars, which are OEM from hongkong iirc, these are on ebay for about £170 for 9700p

dont bother getting a 9500np and attepting to softmod, it can perminatly damage the card and the chances of it working are not great

only just though, and the 9800 core is supposed to overclock a bit better than the 9700...find it with some GC2A on it and you'll have a 9700 Pro beater...

any 9700/9800 card under £200 is an excellent deal, imho...if you don't want to push so high however, find a 9600 Pro (some nice Tyan Tachyon ones at ebuyer for £117.50 atm) and push it a little.
