Hey
Right the misses want a flat screen TV for the bedroom. I have been looking around at different stores and am going to buy this 20" LCD for £399

But then i thought to my self could i not buy a PC monitor 20" ;) and swap that for my 18" and use the 18" as a TV :D I know you can run the monitor as a TV via a TV card but dont want to do it like that is there anything i can do/buy to add the features of a TV to a PC monitor??
Cheers

don't really understand what you are trying to swap around
is the 18" monitor a TFT or CRT?
most small LCDs will give a crap picture - but if you insist on one then look at the Philips/Panasonic/Toshiba ones which are a bit better.
For converting a Pc monitor to tv, do you mean something like this?
AverMedia TV Box 9 Progressive Scan External TV Tuner

Pricey I know - but it is supposedly one of the best ones out there and has VGA, Component, Composite and S-video input!

My 18" is a TFT.. That is exactly what i want mate :D Just thought it was a bit stupid me spending all that money on a LCD when i can get a TFT for the same price and it will have 2 uses then... Plus i think the quality will be far better on a TFT than a LCD what you think ??

I hear the Dell 2001FPs have a built in tv input etc, allows PIP and all that.
But i would be interested in seeing the options, maybe a VGA box?
