I'm a lucky man in that both my wife and my mother in law enjoy PC gaming. The MIL (no F you dirty minded people!) has previously spent mountains of money on gaming laptops but I managed to persuade her to spend half the money on a PC. The PC is an MSI A88X mainboard, AMD A7700K CPU, MSI 270X, 8 GB Corsair Dominator RAM, 250 GB Samsung 840 SSD and a Corsair H60 cooler. She plays WoW, Skyrim and a few other MMORPGs so I though that for the budget it seems a pretty solid system.
Now I know the AMD processor has a built in APU and I actually made the mistake of plugging in the HDMI cable to the onboard port, rather than the 270X port when I first set it up!
Is it possible to Crossfire or link the APU and 270X GPU to give it a bit more 'oomph'?
As fast as this system is. the one thing the MIL is most impressed with is that I put blue LED fans and cables into it to match the MB, GPU and RAM as it's her favourite colour!
