Newbie needs help please

I need to upgrade my graphics card so that I can play games like Half Life 2 etc..

I dont have a massive budget & reading through the web, I think Ive narrowed my choice down to 2 options

1) PixelView GF FX5900XT 128MB DDR 8x AGP DVI TV-out @ £110.00

or

2) ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB DDR 8X AGP DVI TV Out OEM @ £135.00

Can any1 please advise me if either the above are any good for my needs or maybe recommend something else

Get the Radeon everytime.

I think there is something wrong with the dx9 support for FX's in HL2 as it takes a 70% performance hit.
