    Question AMD/ATi driver issue Laptop.

Hi all, i will first apologize if this is the incorrect section, but i need some help as i am at my wits end with these awful drivers.

I am running a laptop with the following specs:

    intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2ghz
    3GB DDR3 ram
    512mb ATi Radeon 4570m
    Win 7 64 Ultimate

Now, i just simply cannot install the legacy drivers for this graphics chip, the laptop has been through various Windows installs for other issues away from the graphics... tried out Win 8 on it etc.

Basically i cannot fix my issue, it will install the driver but not function correctly at all.

Here is a snap shot from the laptop currently.

-Removed due to site 5 post rules- (will add after i have done 5 posts.

I have gone through the installation multiple times over and over again using different methods, i have used driver sweeper in safe mode, used the normal crappy un-installer from Windows... everything, it simply will not work.

Also upon boot with the image above, it will boot with an error message: kdbsync.exe has stopped responding.

the laptop is used for media purposes such as light image editing and movies/music, maybe the occasional casual game.

Any help is much appreciated guys

    Re: AMD/ATi driver issue Laptop.

"remove the adk runtime when installing under custom install" - this worked for me before.

Or you can try to install SlimDrivers and follow they suggestion of drivers (worked for me). Both methods been tested and worked for me with various AMD based laptops.

EDIT: Step-by-step instructions as found on the web.

    Open Control Panel>Programs and features
Click on AMD Calayst Install Manager then click Change
Click Next on the welcome screen
Click Uninstall Manager then click Next
    Click Custom then Next
Check box next to AMD APP SDK Runtime then click Next
    Click Finish

Thankyou for your response, this failed to work also.

I have since deleted Windows 7 completely and decided to go onto a fresh install of 8.1, not only is it easier on the low end hardware, the drivers work well.. using 13.4 Beta and up and running, running native screen resolution and playing back media files correctly with GPU acceleration.

Once again a massive thanks, but in the end i think the drivers simply screwed over my Win 7 installation.
