Possible faulty 280x?

So I finally updated my card, I picked up a 280x for a replacement for my 660 but I feel all is not right.

As you can imagine I've been reinstalling all my rig killer games to see how they play and I'm currently on Crysis 3. I have it at 1920x1080 with all advanced settings on high and 2xSMAA with V-Sync off.

I've just loaded into the second level where you enter New York and I'm hitting around 40-70FPS (70 when I'm not looking at much). Surely I should be getting more than this?

When watching the video I'm pretty much getting the FPS he gets on 1440p.

Can't click on the youtube at work (kills my old thin client!) but are you sure he is running at the same settings as you are?

Also, looks like Crysis 3 favours nVidia



Shows the 7970 (which is damn close to your 280x) only being a few FPS higher than your old 660.

Me and the uploader both have the same card. And damn, I thought the 280x was miles better than the 660.
