AMD CCC issue or is card knackered?
Just out of random, whenever I start CCC I can move the sliders and what not but it does absolutely nothing in terms of changing the options on the card or games. Overdrive doesn't work, as in moving the card fan slider does nothing, changing the over-clocking slider does nothing. I thought it might be an Overdrive problem so I upped all the AA settings (to see if games would stutter like hell) and that did nothing in games either.
I've reinstalled multiple times with the newest version and previous which did nothing, installed the newest version of .Net Framework (4.5.1) with no success, also tried reseating the card just in case but still a massive nope.
The fan does however work with MSI afterburner.
I have most likely put this in the wrong section but someone might know if it's a hardware issue (sensor??)
Thanks!
Re: AMD CCC issue or is card knackered?
I think I had a similar problem, basically afterburner was overriding anything I tried to do in overdrive.
Re: AMD CCC issue or is card knackered?
Uninstalled afterburner and restarted, no luck!
Re: AMD CCC issue or is card knackered?
Are you sure you have completely removed Afterburner? IIRC Afterburner doesn't like to be removed easily even for updating to newer version, I used to have to boot into safe mode before I was able to get rid of it.
The next thing I would do is uninstall the Catalyst drives and then use a driver removal tool to completely clear it away (I forget the name of the tool right now) and then install Catalyst as a fresh installation.
Re: AMD CCC issue or is card knackered?
Are you able to change the fan speed of your graphics card within overdrive, can you hear the change in speed when you click apply?
Re: AMD CCC issue or is card knackered?
I tried removing both in safe mode but it wouldn't let me run any type of uninstaller.
And yes Matt the fan does change with Afterburner.
I can change any setting in ccc and apply it, it just wont actually do anything. I don't get any errors or crashes.

I'd recommend doing the following.
1. Follow the AMD guide to uninstall your drivers.
2. Once drivers are fully uninstalled and you've restarted your pc, please download the latest version of DDU.
3. Extract that in your downloads folder and run it. Allow it to set a system restore point and follow the prompts. Say yes and allow it to restart into safe mode.
4. Copy the values I've set in this screenshot. Then click Clean AMD and restart.
5. Download and install the latest version of 14.12 Omega drivers from the AMD website.
6. Restart your pc to complete the install and then check the Catalyst Control Center and ensure things are working ok.
