TL;DR - I need a graphics card that can handle 1 x 4k monitor and 2 x 1600 x 1200 monitors at the same time and do the odd bit of gaming but not cost more than £200... I am willing to consider secondhand.
I am a software dev and I just bought a barebones Precision T5500 and am filling it out at the moment with a couple of xeon's I have lying about... it was only £140. :-)
I have also bought 2 x Dell 2007FP monitors (1600 x 1200) and intend to get the P2415Q (4k) from Dell also but I am not sure what graphics card to get.
I will play the odd game so I am not bothered about SLI 980 GTX or anything, just something that will work and give me the ability to play something on occasion: I can drop it to 1080p for gaming if need be.
I did buy a Sapphire Radeon R9 280 on the cheap from Amazon but I am sending it back as the fans sit at 100% all the freaking time so I suspect it's broken.
So I thought I would take the opportunity to ask the question as I have only just decided to get a 4k monitor now and need to be sure that a graphics card can handle 4K + 2 x 1200p as, according to AMD, their cards can handle 4k no problem but when you add in two more monitors at 1200p it doesn't mention anything.
Thanks
Mick
