Hi
I'm building a basic pc for someone and am using the G840 with XP 32bit.
I could control the desktop colour, but when playing videos, they're very dark.
Is there not an overlay control to control the gamma?
Is there an easy fix to this problem?

Is this new? What are you using to play videos? Programs like WMP, VLC and the K Lite Codec pack have separate controls for colour adjustment which can affect videos. Might be worth checking these out first if it is a problem in only one program. The control for Intel Graphics can usually be found when you right click the desktop and choose the Intel graphics settings. There will be a sub menu for video/media where you can tweak it.

No, it's just a chip I'm using to get a basic set up.
I'm using VLC.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the drivers for HD graphics aren't particularly well tested on XP, tbh. Can you use a different OS? The Windows 10 Tech preview perhaps?Quote:
