Help me Out Please! Finding the Best Nvidia 6-Series

    Hey peeps,

I am eager to buy a graphics card, and i would like some help,

WHAT SHOULD I BUY AND WHERE CAN I BUY IT CHEAPEST??? I have found kelkoo to be very unreliable in recent times!

    Anyway,

I am looking at any of the NVidia 6 Series Card, the 6600GT upwards!

I can get a brand new Gainward 2100le for <£130, but is this a good buy and is it better than the 6600GT???
Or should i stick with a vanilla 6800 or should i go the whole hog and pay the extra for a 6800GT or Ultra, i game occasionally

But should i buy what over what? and why?

And regarding all this where should i buy from and where have you seen the cheapest prices? Please help me out!

    Thank You Loads

    Ian

Also which is the best gfx card manufacturer in your opinions?

EDIT : Sorry forgot to mention i am looking for a AGP gfx card!!!

Go PCI-E, and get a R430 in XL flavour. At least then, you'll have a upgrade path.

If you really must go Nvidia (bearing in mind their shameful behaviour and marketing surrounding the non-working VAU on the 6800/GT/Ultra), then your choice is going to be dependant on the native resolution you want to use. For 1280x1024, your best bet is probably the 6800GT. As for manufacturers, apart from the software bundle and cooler, the boards are much of a muchness, as they're all based reference boards. Just shop around for prices and dual-DVI if you really must have it. The BFG from pccomponentcentre.co.uk seems to be popular choice. At lower resolutions and lower settings, you can probably get away with a 6600GT. Again, much of a muchness between manufacturers at the moment.

Edit: In that case, don't go for the XL
