    will cat 4.12s increase performance on a x700pro?

    enough to beat a 6600gt or is x700pro a permanent underachiever out of these two cards

    thoughts?

    Upgrading your Catalyst driver will always give you access to the latest features, bug fixes and performance enhancements... so it has to be a good idea independent of a specific comparison (i.e. if you have an X700 Pro - then upgrade your drivers anyway )

    If you are looking for the best card around £150 - then it would be an idea to wait until the first week in January and see how much you little you will have to pay for a full blown, 12-pipe X800 card

    I am not saying that you must buy one of ours...

    ...but, for the sake of a couple of weeks, it might be worth waiting to see how much these will cost in the UK !


    It would be interesting to get a Hexus opinion on what they think would be a better choice around that kind of price point:-

    ah thanks mr. ATI man

    well i am not thinking of purchasing my graphics card for a while yet, possibly till the end of january and beyond
    i just wanted to see if the card i wanted to get would ever be able to beat its competition
    so, if it does indeed come down in price ill snatch one of those x800s

    edit: so has the X800 come out in america? i cant find anything about it on the net, when i search for it it comes up with x800 pros and x800 xts nothing on just a stock x800......do you know of any places for me to have a read about them?

    Ok, let mine...

    RAID 5 is good because it only goes up to 4 now... so a higher number is better... and its faster than the others becuase its a red one.....
