About LinkBacksBuilding a new PC and was wondering... Do I go with the cheaper GTX 970 now and wait for Pascal or do I go with the more poweful GTX 980 assuming that Pascal won't truly revolutionise GPUs?

I'd say go R9 390. But if just between those two then 970
The more one seeks, the more one finds and so you realise there is a lot more to be found.
i would go for 970 then waiting till the pascal series comes out custom coolers on (also the new series will be able to handle 4k better)
How long are we likely waiting for the new cards to come out as I am wondering/pondering on this question myself funnily enough!
Is the r390 good across most games currently as that appears to be coming in quite a bit cheaper!
The GTX980 out of those two, but the R9 390 sounds better.
