    780 + 650 PhysX - Worth it?

    Heya,

I've just been given a Gigabyte GTX650 to go with my 780 Lightning, as a dedicated PhysX card.

However, I'm only in 1080p and I've not found more than one or two extra FPS across any of my benchmarks so far (Heaven 4, 3DMark, Cinebench, Tomb Raider, Thief, Hitman, Sleeping Dogs).
Even the infamous Borderlands 2 didn't look any different...

The only notable increase is in the temperatures of my (currently air-cooled) 780!

Have I missed something, or is a dedicated PhysX card really not worth it for the 780?

See how much of a difference it makes on games like Batman: Arkham Knight/Origins, The Witcher 3, Warface, Assassin's Creed IV Blackflag and Hawken which are all listed amongst the PhysX titles here.

    Re: 780 + 650 PhysX - Worth it?

PhysX itself is a widely used Physics engine. GPU use has long been a minor part of it and the majority of titles using PhysX don't support using the GPU for physics calculations at all.
