    Cat 4.12 with a Rad 9000 OEM 128mb

    not good in Pacific Fighters

Have large patches of Sea that show as WHITE....not textures....no colours..nothing..just white.

    Thats external AND internal views.

ANd the trarget reticule on various planes that should be clear, slightly tinted....is BEIGE!

    SOLID, SEXY BEIGE

SO back to Cat 4.7 for this card on my shuttle.

and now I have re installed 4.7's I remember the install screen, the metallic red "liquid mercury" style background with the ATI symbol when I installed those 4.12's was blocky like a brick wall.

Which its not done on these 4.7's.

    Weird huh?

The local hotels are offering extra special 'snow rates' for poor souls who cannot get home for Xmas and end up at the Marriott etc

    Strange cultural difference

Over there - when the bad weather strikes - prices go down

I can just see that happening over here...

    ...not!

Anyway - given the conditions - you may get an answer before the 'holidays' - otherwise it will probably be around 29th

We apologies for the delay and assure that normal service will be resumed shortly

I found the same blockiness installing the 4.12 cats.

Switched to the omega equivalent and it all went away

Can you give me an exact way to reproduce this and I can then feed it into the driver team for you ?

    Thanks !

OK. I install Cat's using the individual download....ie JUST the Driver and the Control Panel.

On installing any of the recent drivers, there is a funky red screen, that looks like molten iron, or swirled red mercury. It has the ATI logo on it. I apologise, but I can't remember if that is on the Driver OR the Control Panel.

When installing the 4.12 drivers on the Radeon 9000 OEM (128mb version, very small heatsink and fan on the gpu only) this ATI logo'd screen, appears to be built fron BRICKS....ie rather than having a perfect smooth ATI screen, you have a patchwork effect of pixel lines in a grid across the entire screen.

I`m still trying to figure out what this "Serious" file missing thing is when installing the windows driver bit before the display drivers.
    Started with the 4.11 set.
That`s on an Asus A7M-266D and a Hercie 8500DV AIW on XP SP2
