Unhappy Using NV FLASH to flash vga Bios

    Hey all,

I am trying to flash my Gainward 6800le Card (with Arctic Cooler (5)) to use the bios from a Gainward 6800NU GS, so i can overclock easier

However when following all the instructions for NVFlash i cannot flash the bios, i can however backup the bios, and i have done that.

To flash i tried using << nvflash -p -u -f biosname.rom >> but it would just go through all the commands,

    I then tried the following...
    nvflash [options] biosname

and to no avail it kept on saying (after trying the latter) file must have a*.rom or *.nvr file name (that is the jist of what it sed) i tried replacing biosname with biosname.rom but still it did not help!

i am not too content and i have been going around in circles! so can anyone help? i have the same bios as different names all on the same floppy (ps i am booting in pure dos) and these are gs.rom goldensample.rom and 6800gs.rom but none seem to work?!

please help as i want to oc asap!

if u need more details please just ask! but much would be appreciated!

    ian

ps ive tried googling and looking on different forums but none seem to say an alternative way!!! (ps i have disabled write protect and crap like that!)
