    Monitor woes

ok guys i got this mopnitor in a trade of some other forum, and it arrived today, note the packaging was less than adeqeute, just a box and slight padding (nowhere near enough) i put the kettle lead (power lead) in and it
powers up okay, but i get no display when the vga lead is pluggedin and ive tried this on both my computers. ive tried to get the drivers from iiyama's site, but when i go to install them it says the drivers i have are more current than these and will not install them,

its A 19inch iiyama crt btw model number ls902ut

    any ideas guys?

link to spec here , vision master 1451, click products, crt, then 19 inch on the right hand side.

    thanks

Just a basic question, have you tried increasing the brightness?

i would but it onyl has a power button, a menu button, and exit button and a + and - button, its also unlikely that the dude i got it from turned the brightness down on purpose too, lol

Unplug the vga,put the power on,press the menu button. The menu should pop up no matter what even if the brightness has been turned right down. Also you should get a box on the screen saying no signal if its working.

Yea, crts generally don't like having their environment changed, leave it to get used to it over night and check back in the morning.
