Best AGP for £250????

Hi,
I've moved from one thread to another - I started here: http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=35268
But now I've decided a new card is the way to go rather than a new board and CPU.
SO, what is the best card I can get for around £250??
It needs to work on AGP 4X - does 8x work backwards??
Was looking at a 6800GT - but these are slightly out of my budget.....
there are so many cards!!!!
Are Gainward still good?? - my old Gainward Ti4200 is still going well so thinking of getting another Gainward made maybe....?
Any suggestions guys?

Most 8x are backward to 4x youll get a 6800gt from pcw for £235 prob best use of your money

AOpen Aeolus 6800GT DV256 - is the cheapest I can find.... anygood?? Neverheard of them myself....
