Is this a good deal for a HD 7950?

At my local CEX i've seen a HD 7950 3gb card custom cooler for £100. And was wondering wether it's worth picking up?
I have no graphics card atm and game with the HD4600 offering on my cpu.
My budget is very small, just about afford £100 lol.
Can i get some advice please.

It's a very old GPU for the price, but has to be said the performance is still adequate for most things and it's hard to say you'd get much better spending the money anywhere else. I would have thought 80-90 would be a more reasonable price, but CEX have overheads a direct seller doesn't.

If you do buy from CeX make sure you read the warranty. Its 24 months. But they have to confirm its faulty. Not sure how good they will be with PC parts. Full refund (if faulty and cannot be repaired) up to 6 months, then its value/purchase price (whatever is lower). And I would place a bet on the "value" being what they buy them for, not what they sell them for.

The 7950 came out in Jan 2012..... Could be 4 years old. What kind of games are you looking to play?

I would look on gumtree or the ebay and see if you can get a r9 280x for around £100, a 7950 can still play most new games on med-high for around 40-60 fps.

Most 7950 can overclock to around 1050/1500.
