Anyone know if there are plans for a passively cooled 6600GT? I know gigabyte has a passive 6800 (vanilla) and a 6600 PCI-express version passively cooled, but what about the 6600 AGP version - anyone heard anything?

According to the most recent SPCR list, there aren't any.
AFAIK 6600GTs run massively hot, so it's unlikely there'll be many passive versions released...
AFAIK.
Ah well, I'll keep my finger's crossed. There's a passively cooled 6800 on the market so I would think a 6600 would be easier to cool passively that that! Especially since it is on a .11 process compared to the .13 process of the 6800

Sorry this is a really lame question: what does AFAIK mean?Originally Posted by schmunk

Surely if they can cool a 6800 a 6600Gt can be cooled a lot easier because it is less powerful.

Not sure if you have already bought something here, but you can get passively cooled 6600GT, 6800, x800 and even x800XL
if you did buy something - what did you get, and what are your views/findings?
thanks
