Re: New - video card questions HDR / Contras / rec P3
Hi,
1. We don't know yet. More details will come out when the next generation of cards are available in the shops.
2. It depends on the card and how it was used - as we mentioned in your last thread the cards can output high ranges of level values, but current monitors are usually the limitation.
3. Again too early to know the full list I think. They've mentioned BT.2020 support.

No matter "how it was used "
this technical data of the hardware.

i ask on the hardware profile and only on the card 1080!

So ? What does the answer?
50% of BT.2020 ?
60% of BT.2020 ?
80% of BT.2020 ?
Please do not answer because you have no clue
this is not a philosophical question!

If you don't want to enter discussions on a discussion forum I'd suggest you choose not to post, rather than being rude to people who try to provide you with the best currently available information. The only people who can give you definitive answers are the card manufacturers, and they haven't released that specific information to the public yet, so there's no point asking for that information on a public forum. You could always try contacting nvidia directly and see if you get any joy out of them, but I strongly suspect those are details they won't be willing to discuss.
In the mean time, please watch the tone of your posts. We do not tolerate abuse/personal attacks on hexus, and IMO you're sailing a little close to the wind here.

They've just said it supports BT.2020. For more information please contact nVidia directly via info@nvidia.com

That's debatable - if you ask a question without knowing if the information is available to answer then you cannot be dissatisfied with an answer that says 'the information isn't available yet' since you end up in a position of more knowledge than when you started. On the otherhand to ask a question that us unanswerable with the available information is more like a rhetorical question, which would need some further humour or point of interest to make it worthwhile posting on this forum really.
Re: New - video card questions HDR / Contras / rec P3
1 & 2 are characteristics about how a screen displays a picture, they're not relevant to a graphics card.
I'm less sure about colour space. Working with colour spaces is primarily done by windows and applications rather than the graphics driver. HDMI does communicate colour spaces (source, page 4) but it supports the latest version so that shouldn't be an issue.
It can certainly work with arbitrary colour spaces or you'd never be able to calibrate a screen, whether there's any upper limit I don't know but it doesn't seem that likely.

We don't do flaming on HEXUS. You were warned earlier in the thread. Any repetition when the suspension expires is likely to result in a permanent closure of your account here.
Our members here are very knowledgeable, so failure to understand may be more your problem. While your account is suspended, you might like to think about how your question can be re-phrased to get the answers you are looking for. You may like to do some more research so you can understand the answers you are being given.

The brightness of a 10-bit (sub-)pixel leaves the source device as a number between 0 and 1023. The screen will display 0 and it's darkest shade and 1023 as it's brightest shade.
The actual brightness depends on the strength of the screen's backlight, and the contrast on that and how well it can block out that light (or how dark the material it's made from if it's OLED).
