I asked this and the response was they are reviewing Linux support.
Actually, we expect a new version of the Linux driver VERY soon :)
Also, we will be committing to a minimal number of Linux releases a year (e.g. 6)

I emerged the ati-drivers onto my gentoo install on my laptop yesterday. Unfortunately it's still downloading and compiling KDE, so I haven't had a chance to test it yet, but agpgart, intel-agp and fglrx are all running. :)
I just hope we see some performance improvements in the driver :)
As we are all happy in here, when is ATI SLI coming or ATI X as ATI call it :)
