Wink Aria 17" tft... as a main monitor

I'm just about to get one of these for xmas. (shhh...don't tell santa i was peeking)

i'm gonna be running it dual with my trusty LG CRT... but i'm wondering if they're that good, then i might as well ditch this (sob) and buy another.

(weakling female doesn't like lugging CRT up and down stairs from uni) (also doesn't like spending money where not needed)

anyone who's got one, please let me know what they're like! (and any major improvements over an aging CRT if there are any!)

    thanks all!

I would spend a bit more and get the £210.99 IIyama 17" ProLite from Komplett. I think this is more suited to a main monitor role.

Though if you have already got it, then I am just talking nonsense! (and don't say as usual)

I wouldn't mind seeing some pictures of it, I'm considering one for my HTPC. Is this the one on special offer at Aria for £112+ VAT? (17", 16ms)

Excellent! I'm interested to see what it looks like, as alot of the lower cost TFT's seem to look very, erm, crap.

Thanks for the pics, looks much better that I thought it would. I'll probably order one after New Year. (providing they are still well priced).

Btw, they keyboard your using really is the worst one I've ever had the experience of typing on in my entire life... they moved the CTRL and Delete keys!

well, i've got it running as my main monitor (dual with my crt) and to be honest, i'm really impressed. It's taking me a while to get used to it, as it's a bit bright for my eyes atm!

I think i can say i've successfully made the transition, and for a really good quality monitor, you can't beat the aria's

Yep, I've heard LOTS of good things about these Aria TFT's. When I get the money, I'll have a couple in my desk!
