have you tried running 3dmark05? it is a very hard beasty, I only got a score of 600 with this pc. GF6800 Ultra upgrade on the way for me.

Oh yer I'm positive of that lol hence the planned upgrade. The GF 6800 Utlra is still $A1000 so I am scrimping on all else till I can sneak the $$$$$$$$$ from the bank without "her we ignore at our own peril" seeing the balance dip too dramatically in one go. I have $400 in cash in the drawer, working on the balance.

Mabe, but it does give a guide to what is the best, interesting the x800xl is better than the x800pro when the pro costs alot more.

Why do they still quote Radeon 7000 and not 8500s. Ive seen this quite alot around the net. Some online retialers still sell the 7000 and not the 8500. Whats so special about the 7000 over the 8500.

Prolly because the 7000 ended up in a lot of MACs. I didn't think anyone bought the 8500 though...
