    alternative VGA cooling...

    People, help...

I have an ATI 9550 GFX card with posssibly the noisiest fan ever manufactured attached to it. I would say it accounts for about 90% of my system noise, it's unbelievably annoying.

I bought one of these to shut it up...

...trouble is, it wont fit in my slimline case, there isn't enough clearance above the AGP card.

Does anyone know of any alternative means I can use to shut this card up?

    Thanks, Adam.

That willdo.. but will be expensive..

For a card with such low power output have a look atthe Artic cooling silencer1 (rev3). Costs about £8 from pcworld or slightly more from ebuyer (postage csots..)

Not sure if either will fit in your system as you havent said which..

If you need something ultra-low profile and not niosy.. then look at the vantec iceberq (ver1 is silent, the others slightly louder) gpu cooler. They are quite crap performers (much better than stock) but are quiet.
