You guys have been invaluable so far, am hoping you can help again.
I have a Hoover powered GeForce fx 5800 Ultra and want to swap the existing cooling for something (ANYTHING!) thats quieter.
Does anyone have actual experience of putting something else on these cards ? I've seen one or two products that might fit but would appreciate some advice on what might be the best.

what make of fx5800u you got ?

the only problem with the fx5800u , it has ddr2 mem which runs hot and i have not found a new cooler/hs that is as good or better than the one that is fitted as standard (sorry i could not help you ) :(
dont the new NV5's fit the 5800?
Apparently the NV Silencer 4 (Rev. 2) will fit, anyone know if they're any good ?
How hard are they to fit correctly ?

personally i thought it would be the rev4 which fits, as the 5900 and 5800's used identical PCB's didnt they?
