MSI NX6800GT T2D256E 12 or 16 pipes

I bought a MSI NX6800GT T2D256E about a week ago and since then I have been read more and more about some of these cards only having 12 pipe enabled rather than the 16 that these cards should have. MSI still haven't fully acknowledged the problem (though MSI germany has).
If you have one of these cards and want to check if you have what you thought you bought then use Rivatuner (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163) . Overclockers forum has a very stong thread going (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...php?t=17365826).
I unfortunately, I descovered yesterday, that have a 12 pipe version and so have entered the fray with MSI UK and my supplier.

stick the old one back on and be sure to use some cheapo generic white thermal paste so they dont know the difference....well thats the advice i was given, and it seems sensible
