ATi Catalyst System Tray in Startup Folder

I notice that the Catalyst 5.2 driver installation puts some software into the XP system tray by running a program called "ATi Catalyst System Tray" from the Windows Startup folder. Is it safe to remove this from the Startup folder as I always avoid having anything in there?

You can usualy disable the system tray program in the advanced display settings (graphics card settings) .

    Hi Taz,

I checked with the Hexus Hierarchy and we had a go ourselves (only way to get a good answer on a Sunday evening )

You can take it out as Turkster suggests - but then you will have to remove the ATI shortcut from the startup file manually afterwards

    Good luck
