VPU NOT broken on my 6800 ultra AGP...

Well I as most of you belived that mine was indeed broken! However I got the damn thing to work after all! I'm curently watching a DVD with full hardware decoding! I even monitored the GPU temps and they are sky high.... I'm using dviver version 66.93 and the DVD decoder... In order for it to work you must use WMP 10 with the decoder... I must say its nice to watch a dved without my cpu jumping to 20% useage...

Er.....I think you've got your facts mixed up.

DVDs are MPEG2. That consumes about 6%-8% of CPU usage on a 3200+, without NvDVD and without the relevant MPEG2 enabled driver.

You need to fully explain your methodology, otherwise what you're saying is pretty meaningless.

The nv stuff is only worth it for HD content, not for normal DVDs really.
